Join us for this online event in which Maggi Hambling offers an artist’s perspective on Francis Bacon, to coincide with the RA exhibition 'Francis Bacon: Man and Beast'.
One of Britain’s foremost contemporary artists, Maggi Hambling has established a reputation over the last four decades as one of Britain’s most significant and controversial artists, a singular contemporary force whose work continues to move, seduce and challenge. In this special in-conversation with Courtney J. Martin, Hambling shares her insight into the intensity, imagination and truth found in painting, and explores the intersection of humanity and animality featured in Bacon’s work.
